I think all of us know what it feels like at the beginning of something new – starting a workout, writing a novel, or striving for a position at work. It is fun to start something; however, that energy often appears to diminish after some time, leaving you in a cycle. 

If there is one question that has often crossed people’s minds, how can that fire be maintained? Here is how to sustain motivation and turn wishy-washy inspiration into a healthy habit.

1. Set Clear, Achievable Goals

Many people entertain rather high goals from the beginning of the working week, and it is difficult to maintain such an inspiring state if there are no specific objectives and achieving these goals is not a reality. If you still have a big goal, it can be more helpful to split it into small steps or actions that you could personally do. It is equally important for you to start celebrating small achievements in the process, as this is a way of creating and fostering momentum. 

2. Visualize Your Success

Although it is a general statement, visualization is a noble tool. Close your eyes and imagine yourself already in the position you want to be in when you attain that goal.
